Adzuki provides content creators a simple tool for product recommendation based on sophisticated image-recognition technology. The tool can make any image online instantly “shoppable” featuring an invisible smart layer on images with ready-to-buy, recommended products, which only appear on-demand.
In a way, Adzuki gives brands and webshops an opportunity to be presented in the exact moment consumers are inspired. It allows content creators to select products for in-image, personal recommendations that show when readers interact with the image. The aim is to make every micro-moment count, as consumers are merely one tap away from purchasing what they see in images.
Giving Life to the Content
The complexity behind simplicity
To indicate an interactive image with recommended products, I used an animating plus sign changing its color between white, transparent and black in a loop with a life-like speed. The aim was to find an easily understandable, non-intrusive sign without distracting the user and fitting to every design as much as possible.
Switching the color between black and white ensures that the sign is visible in every scenario. the transparent state in between black and white provides a point of no-visible-sign in order to let user also have a glimpse of the content as it is.

Having possibly the world’s largest wardrobe filled with millions of products from the major e-commerce platforms e.g. Yoox, Zalando, Adzuki’s image-recognition algorithms provide content creators with the best recommendations at the same time as they upload their inspiring images. The content creators will then be able to personally curate their collection by easily selecting the products among what is already recommended by the AI-powered system.
